Sustainability in fashion is complex. The fashion chain is long and intransparent and even just producing a fabric albeit from natural or synthetic resources, is a long path that demands many inputs and creates harmful outputs along its way. Pulp Fabrics aims to provide small designers with a better alternative than new materials, decreasing the negative environmental impact of fashion and decreasing the textile waste pile in the Netherlands.
In collaboration with CREM consultancy, we’ve mapped out the drivers of sustainability in fashion and the environmental impact of our fabrics in an effort to broaden the understanding of sustainable fashion. Please read (or download for free!) the Environmental Performance of PULP Fabrics report that was developed by CREM as an advice by the Natural Capital Helpdesk for further information. Please inform us if you would like to use the report for educational purposes.
